The ASC (Ayman Solar Concentrator) is an innovative solar system featuring a fixed focal point beam down non-imaging solar concentrator imagined and developed by Prof. Ayman Al-Maaitah.
The ASC solves the most important problems in existing Solar Technologies and is considered to be the 5th Generation of Solar Concentrators. It concentrates solar radiation by thousands of times to a fixed focal point with respect to the ground. It uses a metallic lens made of conical section nested in a way and coupled with a unique tracking system to achieve such performance. Temperature at the focal area exceeds 1000 degrees Celsius.
The ASC is a new technology in Solar Energy that combines the advantages of PV and CSP while eliminating the shortcomings.

UTOPIO ASC powered by ASC technology produces 3x the heat on only 20% of the land required by traditional CSP technologies (Parabolic Trough / Solar Tower) and 33% of the land required for PV (photovoltaic) resulting in significantly lower CAPEX and operational costs while featuring modularity and scalability.
While existing CSP technologies (including Heliostat Towers, Linear Troughs, and Parabolic Troughs) are only cost-effective at utility-level applications, UTOPIO powered by ASC technology is uniquely modular and scalable. This allows us to effectively and affordably power industrial and microgrid projects as small as 30kW to as large as 50MW. This technology affords reliable and cost-effective power solutions to individual factories, hotels, remote installations, etc.
The modular nature of our projects not only requires significantly less acreage to produce a given amount of energy and heat, but the land need not be contiguous. Thus, construction and operation on terrains, such as rocky hillsides, coastal easements, non-contiguous municipal lots, etc., open up broader opportunities previously unobtainable by UTOPIO ASP.
